In November, ROCKINGER Agriculture gifted two charitable organisations with a monetary donation of 1,000 euros each. Helping Angels Gotha e.V. received their donation cheque at a handover from Jan Meister, Head of Global OEM Sales at ROCKINGER. The Gothaer Tafel (food bank) and its funding organisation DRK Gotha received the donation from Erik Dänner, Plant Manager in Waltershausen. Both organisations showed great gratitude and enthusiasm for the support. During the donation presentation, the Helping Angels and the Tafel Gotha gave our colleagues an impressive insight into their charitable work.
Helping Angels Gotha e.V. is an association that fulfils the last wishes of seriously ill people free of charge. Three wish buses for excursions and visits and over 100 volunteer members try to fulfil every wish, no matter how big or small. The organisation has already been able to fulfil over 180 wishes in the past six years. The Helping Angels are financed exclusively by donations and membership fees.
The Tafel Gotha was founded by the DRK Kreisverband Gotha e.V. in April 1994. It collects food and everyday goods that are no longer utilised by retailers. The main task is to provide needy citizens with the available goods. The Tafel has around 750 customers from Gotha and the district who are dependent on help from the Tafel. The work of the Tafel depends on the willingness and volume of donations as well as the voluntary commitment of the helpers.
The sum donated comes in part from winning the “Green Manus” award. ROCKINGER received this for the KS80 ball hitch without lubrication, which requires less maintenance and offers greater driving comfort for tractor drivers.
